Details for the November 2025 Trip

Below is the basic information for our upcoming trip in November 2025. Please review the details at your convenience (below). If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to email Carl.

Your Flight to/from Japan

Departing: November 21st, landing in Japan on November 22.
Flying home: November 30th

You'll be flying into Narita airport (NRT).  Please do not fly into any other airport.  The nearest airport to Narita is Haneda and is more than one hour away.  Carl will meet you at the airport when you land, help with you currency exchange, getting your bullet train pass and bring you to your hotel.

Night #1:  Narita (November 22nd), One Night Stay

You'll depart the airport after your flight and travel 11 minutes to your first hotel, in Narita City (Chiba).  The hotel name is the APA Keisei Narita. One of your first night, you'll enjoy an authentic Japanese dinner (ramen or sushi, your choice) and then get a good night sleep.  After a good night's sleep, we will gather today in the morning and Carl will give you a full tour of Narita City.  After the tour, we will return to the hotel and grab our bags to take an $8 train to Tokyo!

We will arrive in Tokyo on Day #2 (November 23rd) at approximately 3 pm to check into our hotel in Asakusa, Tokyo.  Asakusa is located in the northeast region of Tokyo - known for shopping, food and sightseeing.  Our hotel in Asakusa is named 'APA Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon.'  While in Tokyo for three full days, we will do the following:

  • Eat the finest sushi in the world - Sukiyabashi Jiro, Roppongi

  • Visit the Tsukiji Fish Market

  • Go to Shibuya to see the world's largest crosswalk and eat amazing ramen

  • See the Meiji Shrine

  • Go window-shopping in the Ginza strip

If the group is interested, we can spend on full day in Nikko, Japan and also ride go-karts in downtown Tokyo.

After three full days in Tokyo, we will check out of our hotel at 11:00 am on November 26th and travel southwest to the Kyoto/Osaka region, using the bullet train to reach our next hotel in Shin-Osaka, Japan.  Shin-Osaka, Japan is a small city located near the Shin-Osaka train station, 10 minutes from Kyoto.  The bullet train ride to Shin-Osaka is about three hours.  We will pass Mount Fuji on the way to our hotel.
